Casa Nico

Julie was a fantastic host, quick to respond and thoughtful about every detail. Her suggestions for places to eat, explore, and adventures to try made the trip even better. The house is comfortable and well equipped, with a lovely mix of modern luxury and its own charm. We drank coffee by the pool while monkeys chattered nearby, and saw why people rave about the local restaurants and their food. Beautiful beaches and great waves are close, so we got both jungle privacy and fun by the beach. Costa Rica was an unforgettable trip.

We stayed here in November 2023 with a large group, and the covered table was ideal for sharing meals. The house was cozy and beautifully decorated, with fans and air conditioning in every room and two full bathrooms. Having a private pool to ourselves was a treat, and we loved the trees and landscaping. It had everything we needed and more. Julie was friendly and so helpful, especially with her beach and restaurant tips. We'd happily recommend the place and plan to come back. Thank you, Casa Nico!

The beaches around here all have their own character. We especially liked Playa Blanca for snorkeling and Playa Avellana for surfing and sunsets, and the other beaches and restaurants are ten minutes away or less. Our meals at SoulShine, Mycelium, and Casa Negra were the most memorable. The house was gorgeous, from the balcony to the backyard pool, and I spotted and heard tropical birds there each morning. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked, with everything our group of nine needed for a one-week stay at Casa Nico. Julie was a wonderful host and gave us great local recommendations. It was my first time in Costa Rica, and I loved the area. Can't wait to return. Pura Vida!

The woodworking caught my eye right away, it's cute and pleasing to look at, and the house is practical for a large group too. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and having family dinners, without having to wonder whether we'd find what we needed. Casa Nico has everything for a comfortable stay and feels like a home away from home. We also loved being close to the beach and the city of playa Negra. If a peaceful oasis is what you're after, I loved it here and would absolutely recommend it, 10/10.
