Hotel El Jardín

Everything in the heart of Montezuma was within walking distance. Hotel el Jadin is in a beautiful, peaceful spot, and the welcome was super friendly. We had a lovely, restful stay.

Our room terrace opened right onto the pool area, and the pool was lovely. The man who checked us in was so friendly and offered an early check-in and a complimentary room upgrade. It made for a great stay, thank you!

Gabriel was incredibly friendly and helpful, sorting out tours, massages, and restaurant bookings. He suggested checking the weather before booking Isla Tortuga and warned me about the forecast for the waterfall hike. He even made me a song with AI. The laid-back, friendly energy of CR really came through. I could see monkeys right outside my room on the last day. I had a private room and bathroom at a budget price, with a view of the ocean and monkeys. The room had AC, which was fine, though the water pressure was weak and it wasn't very warm. That didn't bother me in this weather, but it would be perfect if fixed. The pool is fine for a quick dip after a hot day. It's right by everything in the small town: beaches about a three-minute walk away, tour operators, massages, food, a supermarket, and the waterfall trailhead about a 15-minute walk away. The last stretch by the hostel is along the main road, with little street lighting and few sidewalks.

Gabriel was so friendly and helpful, and kindly arranged a free room upgrade. The room was beautiful, clean, and had a nice view and a comfortable bed. There's no breakfast, but the in-room fridge makes it easy to keep things like yogurt. A wonderful stay in a beautiful place, and I'd absolutely recommend it.
