Botanika Osa Peninsula Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

The pool was a welcome break from the humidity, and we loved our week here. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet, and Denis was an especially pleasant, attentive, and helpful server. Our room was consistently clean, the beds were very nice, and the air conditioning worked perfectly. Linking up with Crocodile Bay tours was a smart move. Eduardo and Katherine were the best, especially helping my photographer husband get some wonderful photos.

The restaurant team made every meal feel welcoming, with warm smiles and attentive service, and the pool bar staff were just as kind. The drivers were patient and respectful too. Reception felt colder and a little rough by comparison; a genuine smile, more tips, or a free upgrade when the hotel is quiet would make the service feel much better. The gym is excellent. We found Botanika a luxurious fit for the Osa Peninsula’s wild nature, and spotted cute monkeys nearby. Rooms were clean and modern, especially the suites. Housekeeping noticed we only used decaf and left extra capsules, a nice little detail. The outside of the windows could use cleaning, though it didn’t bother me and some guests might mind. The pool is well designed, spacious, and has a heated Jacuzzi. A shuttle takes you to a quiet, isolated beach with towels, sun beds, showers, WiFi, and very good service. Get a fresh coconut there. For lunch and dinner, Hard Croc was better for food quality, ingredients, and price. The pool bar’s club sandwich and vegan shawarma were decent, and there’s happy hour for drinks. The hotel breakfast was good with enough choices. I’d recommend Corcodova nature park and a sunset kayak trip to see the sea’s bioluminescence. You can book through the hotel or elsewhere in the nearby town. We had a good stay at Botanika Osa Peninsula by Curio, Hilton.

The wildlife along the trails was incredible, and the facilities and staff were amazing. Botanika itself was beautiful, with one of the best pools I’ve seen, and the rooms were perfect. The wellness center was nice, though it could use some upgrading. I’d definitely recommend Amed’s yoga class. As wellness director, Amed made it an inspiring experience.

The animals and plant life made this the highlight of my Costa Rica trip. I saw sloths 🦥, Macaws 🦜, Crocodile🐊, howlers monkeys 🐒, Racoons 🦝, and lots of other flora and fauna around the property. Dylan, on the security team, knows the grounds inside out, including where the animals rest, and Mauro and Dylan both know the premises really well. Corcovado tours are easy to access from here. I found the hotel by accident, but I’m so glad I did. Check-in staff were friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant food and service were amazing, especially Kennia. If I come back to CR, this will be at the top of my list. Enjoy ❣️
