Si Como No Resort, Spa and Wildlife Refuge

Even though the resort was quite full, it never felt crowded. The layout gave us plenty of privacy, and we never had to compete for dinner tables or pool chairs. Being close to the national park and public beach was a big plus too. Our Deluxe plus accommodations were fantastic, with sweeping ocean views alongside the jungle. The restaurants, pools, and staff were all great. We loved Si Como No and would definitely return.

The place has a full-on resort feel, and we had a pleasant time. It's an older property, but clean and very nice. Marco, the mogates bar tender, makes the best drinks, and we really enjoyed the Claro Que Si restaurant. Reception was very friendly, and the relaxing spa massage did the trick. Keep in mind, though, that the property is on a hill with lots of steps, so book a suitable room if stairs are difficult. At the adult pool, arrive early if you want a seat. There aren't enough loungers or dry places to relax, and people hold on to their chairs all day. Not sure why it's called a wildlife refuge. We only saw a frog and two anoles. 🤷‍♀️ Still, it was a pleasant stay.

We stayed as friends in a Honeymoon suite, and it was amazing. The room was spacious, with a full kitchen we didn't use, and the jacuzzi was lovely for looking at the stars. Out on the balcony we saw monkeys, frogs, sloths, and macaws, with a jaw-dropping ocean view. The staff were kind and accommodating, and took time to get to know us. We enjoyed the pools, hot tubs, and bars, and there were lots of good breakfast options. Si Como No was an incredible place to stay, and I'd highly recommend it.

There isn't really anywhere to walk around, and while some souvenir shops and restaurants are nearby, there's no town to stroll through. Renting a car is probably best, since there's not much to do in the area without one. The hotel itself was great, tropical, and had good ocean views. Staff were very helpful. Breakfast was just okay and could use improvement. Also, there are no TVs in the rooms, so keep that in mind if your kids care about that.
