The room itself was okay, but finding the place was very difficult. There are no street signs to show where it is, and the directions are confusing. The road is very rocky and hard to drive, especially if you arrive in the evening when it’s almost impossible to see. Check-in also left us uncomfortable. The man who received us didn’t speak English, so we couldn’t understand what he was saying. We had to pay him in cash, then he asked for more money while pointing at his blind eye. As two girls traveling alone, we felt quite unsafe.

The kitchen was great, and the hostess was really nice. Our room was a bit small, but clean and had fans, and sharing the bathroom with two other rooms was no issue. It was cleaned every day. The place is a little way from the center, so getting to Quepos is quite a walk unless you have a car. Also, her kids live there, and being alone with them in the living room felt a little awkward. Even so, we had a great stay.

The bathroom is big and has hot water, and the place is getting close to European standards. Jorge is a really nice guy who’ll help with anything. I’d recommend staying here to travelers and backpackers.
