The location is handy for catching a bus downtown and it's close to the Sabana if you want to walk, run, or spend time in the city's nature. Mi casa is relaxed, and the staff are friendly and helpful. A great place to stay!

I love Mi Casa. Whenever I land in San José, it's my first stop in Costa Rica. It's fun to see the place change and grow over the years, getting better each time. The staff are always helpful, and it's consistently clean and well managed. Sure, it's a hostel, so go to a hotel if that's the kind of place you want. For me, it's a Big Bang for the bucks, or colones in this case.

Good hostel with reasonable prices. It's in a safe neighborhood, close to the National Stadium and near bus stations to San Jose.

The room was dirty, and the door locked itself. When we tried to open it, the lock came off and they made us pay for it, threatening to call the Police otherwise. The service was awful. Worst experience ever, don't go here.
