Yami made our stay especially memorable by cooking for us every day. The kids loved her food and fresh fruit juices. The House in the Sky is a unique place in an amazing location, and it has everything a young family needs. We loved staying there, especially the architecture and design. Thank you!
The views are incredible, and the house feels wonderfully private. Yami and Franklin are a powerhouse team: the meals are wonderful, and they’re helpful while also knowing when to give you space. Lovely, lovely, lovely.
We hated having to leave this absolutely beautiful house and location. Yami and Franklin, the caretakers, made us feel at home with their warm welcome. The stay felt friendly, private, and relaxed.
Volare felt like a fantastic home, with lots of extras, and was well maintained. We had a great time and hope to return. Tucker’s detailed notes helped us enjoy the house, and the well-stocked kitchen had every item we could think of. We spent long, leisurely mornings having breakfast and taking in the home’s beauty. There are plenty of comfortable seating areas and tables, indoors and out. Each morning we enjoyed the valley view and watched the birds and wildlife, including oropendulas and toucans from the balcony. The home is very private, though another couple stayed downstairs and we rarely saw them. Our local hosts, Yamilet and Franklin, helped us get settled and checked in to offer help. They respected our privacy and were reachable by mobile phone. We felt safe, with a gate and full-time residents nearby. The property’s edge has a good view of Volcan Turrialba. One morning it was venting smoke plumes, but more often clouds covered it. The two upstairs bedrooms each have an open wall with a fabric divider, and they adjoin the kitchen and downstairs space, so sounds carry between the areas. There’s also a fully enclosed downstairs bedroom off the kitchen. This wasn’t an issue for us since we went to bed and got up around the same time, but it may matter to other guests choosing rooms.
The house is so fully equipped, the maid is a lovely whirlwind, there are lots of birds around, including Toucan, and the owner is very helpful. That first time you walk in has a real wow effect, it’s hard to describe. We’re 200% satisfied, and the whole family keeps telling me, angrily, that we should have stayed longer.
