Hotel de Cabañas Valle Campanas

This family-run place is set on a large property among forest and beautiful nature. The wooden cabins are spread across the grounds, giving you privacy, peace, and a genuinely relaxing atmosphere. There's lush vegetation all around, and we even saw agoutis one morning. Behind the cabins is a sunset viewpoint. One morning, we were lucky enough to see a rainbow from there. The owner was so kind and helpful, sharing area information, maps, tips, and activity suggestions. They brought a delicious, typical Costa Rican breakfast right to our cabin. Everything was wonderful, but the genuine kindness and helpfulness really stood out. A great choice in Monteverde if you're after tranquility, nature, and warm hospitality.

We stayed five nights and loved our cabin in the jungle. The family hosting us was caring, kind, and so helpful. Roy and his sister were wonderful, and we also met Dad and Grandpa. Kira and Apollo, the two dogs, were a fun bonus, as was the kitten roaming the property. We spotted two small capachino monkeys now and then. There's a grocery store a few blocks away, and a short taxi ride to downtown Santa Elena was convenient. 💚🩵

The people were so friendly, the cabins were amazing and came with a hammock, and breakfast was delicious. Laundry service was great too. Kira the dog and Nala the cat were a highlight. Everything was 10/10 from start to finish. I wish I could've stayed much longer!

The family who run this place are incredibly helpful and go out of their way for you. They even got us out of a difficult situation with a local after an incident involving our car. The cabins are spacious and well equipped, and the grounds are lush with some nice trails that are easy to access. It's right in town while still feeling secluded and private.
