Mi Casa Su Casa Monteverde

The service from Sergio is what really stands out. He arranged our transport from La Fortuna, recommended and booked restaurants and excursions, and even drove us to the waterfall hikes for a very reasonable price. We had a great three-night stay. The hotel/homestay is large, with spacious rooms and a nice balcony by the living room for watching the sunset. Town is small and about a 10-minute walk away, while a supermarket is closer down the hill. One thing to know: it was extremely windy in Monteverde during our stay, and the wind could get shockingly loud. Earplugs were provided after our first night, and I’d advise using them. Breakfast was excellent, and there are two cute dogs too. We picked this place because of the great reviews for Sergio and his wife, and they didn’t disappoint.

A lovely couple, a nice place, and a good breakfast. I’d come back. The only thing I missed was a way to make hot drinks.

This was my best stay in Costa Rica. Sergio welcomed me warmly and helped me plan my time in Monteverde and book a tour for the next day. The place felt homey and welcoming. My room and bathroom were clean, modern, and spacious, with a large comfortable bed. It was very quiet at night, so I slept really well. The location is central and felt safe, but it’s away from the busy streets. I’d highly recommend it.

Sergio and his partner made our Monteverde stay lovely. The home was clean and comfortable, with fresh towels and toiletries every day. Breakfast was delicious each morning, and Sergio even arranged breakfast at 6:30 am for our early tour. When we checked in, he shared restaurant and activity recommendations. His pets are adorable, especially Nina the friendly cat, who made me feel less homesick for my cats back home. The accommodation and service were great, and the price was very affordable.
