We loved our stay. The couple running the hotel were friendly and gave us helpful ideas for things to do and places to visit nearby. Our room had a lovely view, and the dining room did too. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with soft linen and comfortable beds. Breakfast was included and offered a great range of good options.

Breakfast with a great view was a lovely start to the day, though the lodge sits at the top of a steep hill. Monteverde is hilly in general, and we walked about 1 km downhill to the supermarket once, which isn’t easy if you’re not fit unless you take your time. Parking is limited, but we always found a spot. We were kindly offered an upgrade at check-in and stayed three nights. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Our room had coffee and tea making facilities, and we could use the shared fridge and microwave. There’s no TV, but we had no time for one, and the internet was good. We liked Cappuchino cafe, 100m down the road, for meals. We also found that crossing the road and going through the slated green gate led to Sendai hotel, where we could unwind with cocktails and dinner after sightseeing. Great views and a great time in Monteverde!

The staff were helpful whenever we needed them, and they made us feel welcome. Breakfast was freshly made every morning and was amazing. Our stay at the Mitzli Lodge was wonderful, with a very large, clean room that was comfortable even in cold, wet weather. Thank you for making us feel at home.

The staff and service really exceeded what we expected. The room was spacious, spotless, and had a lovely feel to it. Breakfast is well worth having. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

We had such a nice stay at Miztli Lodge. The staff were warm and always ready to help, the room felt cozy, and breakfast was delicious.
