Akwa Santa Teresa Ocean View Villas & Rooms

Being a little off the road made things peaceful, while still leaving us close enough to walk almost anywhere. We had an amazing time in Santa Teresa and loved staying at Akwa. The ocean views from the clean rooms were lovely, and the staff were so kind. They helped arrange tours, a taxi, and whatever else we needed. They also took my contact details so they can email me about future deals and yoga retreats. Charter fishing and Yoga both sound great! Vajra Sol Yoga

Alexia made us feel so looked after, from her warm welcome and good suggestions for food and activities to sorting an ATV delivery, massage appointments, and a surf instructor. She really went out of her way to make the stay relaxing. The rooms at Akwa were spacious and spotless, with a great ocean view. Some days we could even watch surfers on the waves, which was pretty special. The bed was really comfortable, and breakfast was made fresh to order each morning. We had an incredible stay, thank you, Alexia!

I walked up and down the hill plenty of times, and jumping straight into the pool afterward was a great way to cool off. Renting an ATV for those trips would probably be a good idea. Up at the property, it felt private and safe, with the ocean breeze and waves alongside all the jungle and nature sounds. I even slept with the doors open every night. It's far enough up the hill to escape the loud road in Santa Theresa, and the place looks just like its photos. The staff were friendly and helpful, and every morning there was fresh juice and a delicious breakfast.

Eduardo was what made this place so memorable. He was incredibly thoughtful and kind, always checking over breakfast that everything from the night before had been good and adjusting the fresh morning meal to what you liked. The rooms were spacious and laid out well, with a huge, powerful shower. We also had a front terrace with a hammock, which was a great touch. And the views really are incredible, worth the climb up the hill. We stayed four nights in January at the end of a three-week Costa Rica trip, and this was easily the best hotel of the whole trip. We'll be back to AKWA, and next time for longer.
