Hotel Santa Teresa by the Beach

My wife and I stayed four nights and really liked the area. Santa Teresa is outstanding. The hotel’s about 100 yards from the ocean, and had great rooms, a lovely pool with a breakfast area attached, and very friendly staff. We drove from Liberia after landing from the States around 2 pm, so the last two hours were at night. The road is very winding, and I wouldn’t recommend that drive in the dark. Someone suggested flying into San Jose next time and taking a small commuter plane. I think we’ll try that.

Daniela was especially helpful and welcoming, and the whole staff made us feel at home. The rooms were spotless, lovely, and comfortable, and the location was just right. We’d happily come back and recommend staying here.

The breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were impeccably clean. Every person we dealt with, from the manager and front desk to the waiters and housekeeping team, was kind and helpful. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had. This is the only place I’ll stay in Santa Teresa.

I first hosted and looked after my parents here, then came back and stayed myself with my brother. It was a real pleasure for all of us. The staff are warm, professional, and caring, the location is good, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The breakfast was incredibly good.
