We still had a great time at Casa Aura, despite the noise at night. The location is perfect, with direct access to the beach, and breakfast was basic but good, with gallo pinto, scrambled eggs, fruit, toast, and müsli. The room had really poor sound insulation. We could hear every word people said, and the restaurant music next door eventually drove us crazy. We stayed Friday through Sunday, and on Friday night loud music from a nearby nightclub continued until 3am. I could barely sleep, even with earplugs.

We’d highly recommend Casa Aura for a relaxing stay in Tamarindo. The family rooms have loads of space and huge balconies that are lovely for the evenings, plus super comfy beds. Breakfast is plentiful, and the buttery scrambled eggs deserve a special mention. Best of all, the location is right on the beach, just a short stroll across the sand to the water.

We were four people in a room made up of two rooms plus a kitchen and living room. Each bedroom had two bunk beds and one full bed. It was large, and the staff were helpful. Breakfast was provided, with eggs, rice, some fruit, and coffee. You can get straight to the beach from here. I’d highly recommend it.

The location and beach access are the only things this hotel has going for it. It was dirty and flat-out gross. There were cockroaches in the bathroom, and even when the windows were closed, they weren’t sealed shut, so a ton of noise and heat came in. Be advised.

Really good value, with a simple, delicious local breakfast included. The vibe is super chill, and it’s right on the beach, away from the noise but close enough to walk to everything you’d want.
