Nahualli Hostel Tamarindo

An absolute nightmare. 🤮

The one good thing I can say is that the owner was friendly and very helpful. The rooms, though, were tiny windowless cubicles and filthy, like they hadn't been cleaned. We had to ask for a broom to get the trash out from under the bed. The bedding had holes and smelled awful, and the air freshener was so strong it made sleeping impossible. There was noise all night. I would never recommend this place.

It was a complete nightmare, and I absolutely wouldn't recommend it. The tiny room was cramped, had no ventilation, and was nearly dark, so we were lucky to have a flashlight. The bathroom was filthy, with dirt everywhere and no hot water. I had to ask for a broom and rag just to clean the floor and closets. Under the bed were dusty, dirty bottles, juice cartons, and straws mixed with food scraps. The sheets and bedspread were dirty and still had belongings from the previous guest. There was noise all night, with banging on the door at all hours.

The rooms were dirty and had no ventilation or air conditioning. There were few electrical outlets, and even the building entrance was dirty. The only fan was dusty, and the bathroom curtain, which served as a door, was nearly falling down.
