Casa de Lis

This was my second stay, and I’ll definitely be back. After backpacking in the mountains, a warm shower, fresh towels, and a comfortable bed really recharge you. The staff are helpful with ideas for things to do and see, and places to eat and drink.

The garden has plenty of places to sit, in sun or shade, and everything was very clean, with great hot showers. The staff were wonderfully helpful with all my requests, from an extra pillow to a fan. They also helped me plan tours and figure out the bus schedule. Maria even walked with me to the terminal to make sure I got the right ticket. It was easy to communicate in English and Spanish. They gave me directions and restaurant suggestions that were just right for what I wanted, and everything I needed was close by. I loved staying here.

The staff were kind, caring, and extremely helpful to guests. The place was clean and nicely appointed.

I only planned to stay one night while traveling from the north of CR toward Puerto Viejo and then Panama, and I hadn’t expected much. But Casa de Ali’s was just right: a simple, comfortable room, fresh coffee available, and very helpful, friendly reception staff. The town center is a two-minute walk away. It was my first time in Turrialba, and after Casa de Lis, I’m sure it won’t be my last.
