Hotel Vive Uvita

There were a few things that worked well: the AC ran, the beds were comfortable, and the sheets and towels were freshly washed. The rest was pretty disappointing. The room had supposedly been cleaned, but the toilet was dirty, there were no garbage bags, and the pillows had mildew. We also had no hot water, a green pool that was out of service, and a TV that didn't work. Loud drunk people at the attached bar kept going until 3 am, and I struggled to find anyone to pay.

Clean, quiet hotel with great staff, good value, and a handy location. It's a short walk to the park, and I'll stay here again when I come to Playa Uvita. The one letdown was the showers, there was no hot water, so I couldn't give it five stars.

The location was handy, very close to the national park and a great restaurant. Our first room flooded with toilet water, though, and the second one was okay. There was no hot water, so we took cold showers. They had a coffee maker in the room but no coffee.

The family room for four was a bit tight, though it still worked for us. It needs some repairs, mainly in the bathroom, and the fridge was dirty. The parking is closed for now while they fix the sidewalk. When we arrived, reception was closed, so contact the hotel if you're getting there after 2pm. Someone from the restaurant kindly helped us check in.
