The hotel food was spectacular, and the chef worked with all the needs we had. We also had a private catamaran ride to the beach and back each day, with hot lunch and cold beer waiting for us. The staff went out of their way to keep us comfortable and happy. They even surprised my wife with a birthday party, private dinner, and music. It was an amazing, once-in-a-lifetime experience. We had a great time.

Our honeymoon bungalow felt like a whole house, and it was amazing. The saltwater pool stayed open around the clock, which we loved. We were there in low season, so there were a ton of mosquitoes, but the place itself is beautiful and really secluded. The cook made food whenever we asked and took special requests. Balom, our concierge, was hilarious, proactive, and super accommodating. She really made the stay memorable.

Everyone at Villa Marina was friendly and professional, from the front desk to housekeeping, and they were keen to help with any request. I was greeted with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink as soon as I arrived. It made for a delightful stay, and I had a great experience from start to finish.

Food was horrible most days, and the serving staff only paid attention to you if you tipped. There isn't a beach at the resort. Channels surround it, and swimming there is prohibited, so you need a boat to reach the nice beach called Paradiso. The ride takes about 10 minutes, but you still have to follow the schedule and wait in lines. There's no car or scooter rental at the resort either. To go out of schedule, you have to head to larger resorts, and transportation isn't free.

Quiet and cozy spot. You can't swim there, but there's a free 10-minute shuttle to Playa Blanca, or you can take the ferry to Serena beach. The staff are great, and the cabins are clean and cozy, except for the ants.
