Enzo's Backpackers

The hostel was easily the best value for money I had during my four weeks in Cuba. Enzo and his family gave me a warm welcome and were helpful in every way. For tourists and backpackers especially, they offer really useful advice on traveling cheaply and what to watch out for. Enzo knows the tricks people use to rip off tourists. He has lots of good contacts across Cuba, and once you’re his guest, he’s available throughout your trip and will try to help wherever he can. There’s a WiFi area and an ETECSA point of sale in front of the house. Restaurants, a cafe, and a supermarket are all just a few minutes away, with another place right next door. Plaza de La República is an easy 15-minute walk. The hostel is cleaned every day, the beds are made fresh daily, and there’s a kitchen guests can use for cooking. I had a great stay. I met some amazing people at the hostel, and Enzo was a great host. My flight was at 3 am, and he let me stay until then for free. When I come back, I’d only stay at Enzo’s backpackers.

They were kind and welcoming, with great hospitality and service. It’s cheap and cheerful. They helped me make bookings each day, and one night, even though the hostel was full, they let me stay at their house. I met brilliant people, and the house was clean, with great attention to detail and respect for everyone. Highly recommended.

Enzo was so welcoming and helpful, and his English was fluent. Bravo!
