Hello, I hope you're doing well. My name is Zoé, and my best friend Malak Ait Amar is staying at your hotel right now. I have a small, simple request. We recently had a misunderstanding, and I'd love to surprise her with a kind gesture so she knows how sorry I am and how much she means to me. I don't need a bouquet or anything that costs money. If possible, could someone pick a small flower from around the hotel, or use any simple flower available, and leave it for her with a handwritten note saying: “I’m sorry and I love you, bestie. — Zoé” I completely understand if that isn't possible, but thought I'd ask just in case. Thank you so much for your time and kindness. It would mean a lot to me. Warm regards, Zoé

For $165 a night, we got a room with dust and someone else's hair all over. The hair dryer was broken, and there was no hot water. The elevators weren't working either, so we had to use the dirty service elevator.

BAD EXPERIENCE. The elevators were out of service and there was no hot water. Nothing in this hotel works properly. The price per night is way too expensive. Never going back.

The views, location, and Club Turquino were the best parts. I had a lot of fun at the club, and the bartender was kind. But the hotel itself was a horrible experience, very old and not what I expected. The shower in my room didn't work, and the elevator wasn't working the way it should. I don't recommend staying there. There are many other hotels nearby in better condition.

The rooms and lobby look okay at first, but this is an old hotel from Havana's glorious days, and its attempted renovation hasn't worked. The elevator is awful. You have to call reception to send it, and they don't always respond. Twice I had to walk down from the 24th floor. Yes, I'm fat and maybe it's good for me, but my muscles are still sore. If you do get to use the elevator, it stops wherever and whenever it wants, and you need hotel staff to operate it. I paid 600 Euro for four nights, and for three days I couldn't take a shower because there was no warm water, only ice-cold water. How does a hot country like Cuba manage that? My safe also didn't work, and they couldn't send anyone to fix it in those three days. Any chance of reimbursement? Hahaha, not in Cuba. I've spent 30 years in the country and this is surely one of my ten worst experiences. You always run into difficulties in Cuba, but usually the Cuban people make up for them by being friendly and trying their best to help. That didn't happen here. What really made me furious was the discotheque on top of the hotel. My wife and I wanted to go, and since we were there with our two-year-old son, we invited our 13-year-old niece to babysit. An extremely unfriendly, arrogant security guy forbade it. She wasn't supposed to sleep in the room, only look after the baby, but he was strict. With everything else going wrong, I expected a little flexibility. Instead, they offered me a second room for $300 a night. I was ready to explode. The hotel is an old place from Havana's glorious times, and the renovation wasn't successful. Please avoid it at any cost. They really ruined my holiday. I'm even a member of Meliá rewards, but I think I'll drown that membership in the toilet.
