Casa Colonial Mindelo

Breakfast was generous, and you can get drinks from the fridge. The staff were helpful, and the hotel is very central. I loved the old colonial rooms and staircase. My room was nice, with a fabulous bed and a warm shower, and I spent afternoons on the deck chairs on the roof. Definitely recommend!

Our favorite thing was the location. We could get around town quickly and easily, and the hotel is close to the beautiful Mindelo town hall on a small side street, away from traffic and nice and quiet. It's a charming little hotel in an old colonial house. The room we stayed in was tiny, but had all we needed: a safe, fan, good shower and bathroom, and a comfy bed. Breakfast was good but not especially exciting, though I'm not sure whether it changes each day. The staff were lovely throughout, and chatting with other guests added to the nice atmosphere.

We had a great 7 days with you, Petra, and we'll be back. Petra and I miss you all and send our thanks and greetings. The rooms were clean, breakfast was great, and everything felt familiar. The staff were kind and helpful.

The house is lovely and the staff friendly, but it was far too noisy. The doors close poorly and don't block sound, so you get disturbed whenever someone arrives or leaves very early or late.
