The staff were terrific and carried my heavy suitcase up three flights since the elevator was out of order. It gets busy with tourists, so try to reach the breakfast buffet before they do.

We felt welcome as soon as we arrived, and the kitchen and cleaning teams were just as good as everyone else. My family and I had a wonderful stay. The hotel is well placed, about 10 minutes from the beach, with good restaurants nearby. I'd recommend staying here.

The hotel is in a very safe part of Praia, close to several embassies and city sights. At reception, everyone was consistently friendly and helpful, and seemed to understand what guests needed. Breakfast was the best we had on our Cape Verde trip, with pastries, fruit, juices, fried eggs and cachupa. Some vegetables and cheese would have made it even better.

We didn't stay after all. There were cockroaches in the hotel, and the Airbnb it manages had massive ones too. Absolutely disgusting, and not something you want to take home. The area felt sketchy, so I wouldn't recommend arriving at night.

The reception is open around the clock, which was handy for arriving late, and the receptionist was really helpful. The room was modern, breakfast was great, and there's a rooftop terrace with a bar.
