Port View Hotel

I’ve stayed here a couple of times. The rooms are large, clean and nice, and the location is great, about a 10-minute drive from the old town. There’s a delicious traditional Turkish breakfast and dinner with plenty of items to choose from. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

The staff were especially helpful and friendly. Their spoken English wasn’t the best, but with a mobile you can find what you need. There’s a supermarket and bakery across the street, which makes eating on a budget easy. I could hear a little street noise, but it didn’t keep me awake, even though I’m sensitive to sounds. It’s not five-star, but the price is good and the value is excellent. I recommend it.

The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were great. Our room was roomy, clean, and recently renovated. There was no proper ventilation in the WC-shower, just a small window you have to open. The hotel is reasonably priced and good value. Its location is fine too, with the old town and its walls an easy walk away, or a cheap taxi ride.

The food was a real letdown. Most dishes were bland and tasteless, mainly braised or stewed, and the choices came around again and again. Breakfast was okay if you like salad. The hotel is away from the sea, on a busy road, and my room faced a large supermarket and its car park. The area is quite poor and the road conditions feel dangerous. I won't return to this hotel or North Cyprus.
