The landlady gave me a very warm welcome, and breakfast was good. I stayed through a very rainy night in February and was happy with the place. It’s more of a boutique B&B than a hotel, set in a lovely old stone house in the old village centre. My room was cozy, the heating worked, and the bed was comfortable. A great place to stay.

The owner gave us a lovely surprise on arrival: a cancellation had opened up a beautiful suite, so we got it for the price we’d originally booked, even though it was worth twice as much. The woman who runs the place was incredibly kind, made us feel at home straight away, and offered to make any hot or cold drink we wanted at breakfast. The breakfast itself was rich and delicious, and friendly cats were always around for company. Set in Kakopetria’s beautiful old town, the B&B is easy to reach. Public parking is less than a two-minute walk away, which is a real plus in this area. Our suite had classic, cozy mountain style, an exceptionally comfortable bed, and a seating corner with a sofa and a small table set with plates and glasses. There was also a kettle with tea and Nescafé. The bathroom had a large mirror, a fantastic bathtub, and plenty of fresh towels, shampoo, and shower gel. We had almost the whole floor to ourselves, including a lovely outdoor terrace with a sofa and armchairs, just right for relaxing in the evening. The quality and genuine hospitality at such an economical price are rare. I highly recommend staying here, it’s truly worth it.

The room was big, cozy, and really warm with central heating. It had a nice balcony and a fireplace. I brought firewood and we lit it, which was excellent. Breakfast was okay, a basic Mediterranean spread of boiled eggs, ham, cheese, halloumi, butter, marmalade, coffee, and some cereal. The amenities were basic, and there wasn’t much room for our things and luggage, but it was fine.

The staff are really nice and helpful. Some parts of the rooms are a little run-down, but given the price, that shouldn’t put anyone off. If a better room is available, the host upgrades you for free.
