The Classic Hotel Nicosia - Handwritten Collection

I’d stay here again and would recommend it to colleagues. It seemed to draw quite a few business travelers, which suited me. The staff were genuinely hospitable, and breakfast had every option you could want. It’s also very convenient for getting around, about a 15-minute walk from both the Ledra Street foot crossing and the Ledra Palace road crossing. The room had lovely ambient lighting, but no overhead lights, which made working a bit difficult. The heavy door didn’t open all the way, and the keycard usually failed on the first try. Bathroom ventilation could be stronger too, since steam hung around for hours.

My room was underground and had no view. At 8am, while I was asleep, a cleaner came in and dropped something. I also hadn’t been told that parking cost extra. When I later asked for compensation because the place was terrible value for money, they acknowledged their mistakes but still refused a refund.

The restaurant is lovely, and the team there are especially friendly and helpful. It’s a very nice hotel near the old town, in a great location. My room was comfortable, though having a European plug available would have been useful.

The location put us right in the heart of Nicosia, so we could walk to the old town, museums, cafés, and shops. Breakfast had a good range of fresh, tasty options, too. The staff welcomed us warmly from the moment we arrived and paid attention to the details. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well designed, with what we needed for a relaxing stay. We had an excellent experience at The Classic Hotel and would happily return. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Nicosia.
