Mr John was exceptionally welcoming and easy to communicate with. When we arrived, he offered us some local cognac that he makes, and it was excellent. The apartment also has a lot of useful equipment, including a washing machine, iron, dryer and coffee makers. It's about a 15-minute walk from the old city center. Cleanliness let it down, though: there was dust in almost every area, and the bed mattress had hair and stains. With a bit more attention to cleaning, the apartment could be very attractive.
