The spa was very clean and well kept, with lovely forest views. It has a hot tub and sauna, and I liked the ice-cold bucket shower. We also ate at the restaurant, where the food was good, very Czech, and came with nice beers. Breakfast was a pleasant hot and cold buffet with the usual cereals, bread, coffee and juices. We stayed for three days in February and really liked it. Our basic room was comfortable for a family of four, which suited us since we weren’t planning to spend much time in it. They’re planning to add a swimming pool next year, so check the website. Book directly if you can: booking.com didn’t pass on the savings we could have had for our children, who should have been half price. Check availability around school holidays and cross-country events, since prices can rocket.

We’ll come back. The staff were very friendly and attentive, breakfast was tasty, and the newly renovated wellness area has a sauna and jacuzzi. It’s an ideal base for a winter holiday: close to the Malinovka ski slopes, five minutes from other ski areas, and within walking distance of cross-country trails.

Comfortable place, and the restaurant was cheap with good food. Sadly, wellness wasn’t included in the price and cost extra.
