8/10
A good fit for a short stay, a family trip, or a road trip by car or bike, especially if you’re watching your budget. The price feels fair for what you get, and the staff are kind and attentive. Cards are accepted. There’s an indoor and outdoor pool, both free to use, plus carom, tennis and a grill. The outdoor pool was clear, though getting to it was a bit difficult. The rooms and garden feel dated, and road noise can be an issue. Don’t expect standard hotel extras like a minibar, ironing equipment or a desk. It’s more of a mountain hut.

The staff were really nice, and the hotel is close to a ski slope, which is handy for families with kids. The building itself is old and out of date, though, and smelled a bit.

It’s very welcoming, with excellent food and a swimming pool. Kids are especially well catered for.

A pleasant place at a reasonable price. The food and service are about what you’d expect from a three-star hotel.

The hotel itself feels like a three-star place, but the food and service are up to a five-star standard.
