For nearly half what other hotels charge, you get a double room with breakfast included, so it’s really good value. The staff were friendly, always smiling, and ready to help. Breakfast was good and covered all my nutritional requirements. The hotel is near the city centre, just a couple of minutes away on foot, and there’s also a tram if you’d rather not walk.

The breakfast was a joke: one kind of sausage, one kind of cheese, Nescafé, juice from a carton, pancakes, and a few other sparse options. The building had an unpleasant smell from the moment we walked in. At first glance it seemed okay, but our room was bare, with no TV, just a wall bracket, and little beyond beds, a tiny table, and a small dresser. The beds were barely comfortable, and the bathroom was so cramped that at 180 cm you could hardly sit on the toilet without hitting the wall. The shower looked filthy and covered in limescale, and the cleaning lady we saw clearly wasn’t doing her job properly. Even the prison cells at Spielberg felt cozier. This feels like a shabby hostel for partygoers who just need a place to sleep, with no regard for guests’ dignity. We paid 100 euros for two nights. It seemed cheap at first, but was overpriced, and even 50 euros a night would be too much. If you have no expectations and can’t find anywhere else, you might be forced to stay here. Otherwise, avoid booking it at all costs.

I expected little from a budget hotel, but it was much worse than I imagined, the worst hotel stay I’ve had in many years of travelling. The room and bathroom were very dirty, and they hadn’t even emptied the trash. There was no mosquito net on the window, so we couldn’t cool the room down overnight. The bed was very uncomfortable. Luckily, I only had to stay one night.

The location is great and the food is good, but you get what you pay for. The rooms are old and broken, and the service lacks professionalism. Their motto could be, “We don’t care if customers come back, because we’re cheap and there’ll always be new people.” I definitely won’t return.
