The apartment was really nice, and even with its central location, the windows onto the inner courtyard kept things completely quiet. The location is right in the city centre, which is excellent. The whole stay was contactless, but whenever we saw a staff member, they were kind and helpful. Everything went well, and I'd highly recommend the place.
Everything was clean and nice, and the apartment looked just like the pictures. It was cozy and cute, with its own bathroom and an app, plus a shared kitchen that was hardly busy during my stay. I liked the patio, though it was much too cold to enjoy it properly. Getting in and out was easy, but the online-only reception meant lots of emails and eventually a call to complete the steps for self check-in and check-out. The main downside for me was the window: with the high ceiling and sunshine, I still couldn't open it for fresh air, especially at night. Sheets and towels were provided, but bring your own shampoo and similar things, and flip-flops. I think it's a good deal.
We arrived late after leaving our last-minute accommodation search until late, and the receptionist reassured us on the phone that a late arrival was fine. They were friendly and very helpful throughout. We had two bicycles with us, and although there was no garage, they gave us an apartment where we could keep the bikes safely inside. The flat was spotless and more than reasonably priced. The whole experience was brilliant, and I highly recommend it.
I needed reliable internet for work that evening and the next day, but the Wi-Fi didn't work at all. Mobile data wasn't accessible either because coverage in the area was so poor. This was a business trip, though I'd need basic data even on a holiday. I had booked two nights and left within 10 minutes of arriving. I spoke easily with the receptionist, but was told nothing could be done until the next day, with no guarantee it would be fixed. I canceled straight away and asked for a refund because the rental conditions clearly weren't met. Getting a response from the property was extremely difficult. After ten days of repeated calls and messages, they offered only a partial refund, saying the apartment had been “ready and clean” for me. I'm still waiting for the money and have filed a formal complaint through Booking.com. It's a beautiful flat, but if something goes wrong, you're basically on your own. A disastrous experience, and one I'd definitely tell people to avoid.
Everything was handled by phone or by filling out a form sent by email, with nobody there in person. The apartment was very clean and well maintained, with a fridge, stove, dishwasher, living room, and a separate bedroom. It's a well laid out apartment hotel, and I'd recommend it for a short or long stay. The building is right downtown in the old town Square in Berno, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. My heart goes out to the owners.
