Getting around was easy: the hotel sits by the train station and bus terminal, right beside the old city, with restaurants and shops nearby. We stayed over NYE 2025 to 2026, and I was glad we booked. Some negative reviews I’d read beforehand seemed out of date. The historic building has been modernized without losing its old character. Our room was stellar, especially the bathroom, and service was good. Breakfast was included and had everything you could want. Room service was very affordable compared with Austria or Germany, where it can cost three times as much for no reason. A great place, definitely recommend.

The buffet breakfast had a good range of hot and cold food. Filter coffee was awful, more like colored water, but the two coffee machines did the job. We also had dinner there: basic Czech food at a reasonable price, and it was fine. The room was quiet, with no street or train noise, clean, and small but okay. The bed was comfortable, and there was a bathtub plus tea and coffee facilities. The hotel is very central, with street parking right outside for €20 a day. I’d recommend it.

The Ukrainian woman serving breakfast was so kind. She didn’t speak English, but still made us feel comfortable. Reception was superb too. I’ll definitely come back with a gift for those two.

The staff were incredible and really went above and beyond. The hotel was amazing, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Breakfast was horrible. There wasn’t much to choose from, nothing seemed fresh, the pastries were hard as rocks, and everything tasted bad. The fruit was old enough to throw away. We also found two bugs, one on the bed and another in the bathroom. There were no slippers, the minibar was empty, and we couldn’t connect a laptop to the TV to watch Netflix, apparently for security reasons. We chose this place after reading good reviews. We’ve been on the road for 10 days, staying in 10 hotels across 3 countries, and this was one of the worst experiences. Never again, Grand Hotel. You don’t deserve what you charge.
