The room was clean and had plenty of space, with much nicer furniture than you usually get in a hotel. I didn’t try breakfast, so can’t say anything about it, and I did miss having a kettle and a cup. There were only glasses. The woman at reception was very friendly and made a real effort to speak German, even though she wasn’t very fluent. I appreciated that. Parking can be difficult and there’s no elevator, but both are mentioned when booking. The room layout was a big plus too, with enough space to get around the bed instead of squeezing past the wall.

There was no TV, the toilet wasn’t clean enough, and there weren’t any large shower towels. It was also hard to manage as a non-Czech speaker, and the communication issues were frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Pension Iberica is a pleasant surprise compared with the rather shabby pensions I’ve usually found in the Czech Republic, especially single rooms. The place is modern, my single room was spacious, and breakfast was great.

We specifically looked for a place with parking, but there wasn’t any. We had to leave the car in a paid lot across the main road. We definitely won’t come back. We arrived ten minutes before 3 and called to say we were there. The receptionist said reception starts at 3 and hung up. She speaks only her own native language and gets annoyed when you don’t understand her.
