The lake view makes this a lovely place to sit, and breakfast was superb. Thanks for the handmade latte and cappuccinos. The kids had fun with the go-carts and could play basketball or football. Thanks for arranging the sauna, too. It was a real treat on our last, cold and rainy day.

We only ate at the restaurant and didn’t stay overnight. The homemade lemonade was okay, but the food was bad even by Czech standards. The only vegetarian choices were side dishes. We ordered Kulajda, but the soup was slimy and too thick. The rice came out dry and crunchy, while the grilled vegetables were burnt outside, undercooked inside, and cold. Never again.

The location is wonderful, though in winter the drive to Lipno for skiing takes about 25 minutes on small, narrow roads. I’d like to come back in spring or summer. The guesthouse staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, and our clean room had plenty of space for four people and our things. Breakfast was great, and we had a really good dinner one night. The fried cheese was just okay, and I still can’t get used to having it as a meal, but the kids liked it. Dinner times seemed to be smoothly scheduled so each family had enough room, though I wish we could have chosen our own time. It was difficult for the kids to eat so late. Definitely try the sauna after a cold day out. They set it all up beautifully with towels, slippers, and water.

The owner, or staff member, was friendly and seemed to care. The room was a bit chilly, though, and if you visit in summer, I’d ask for a room away from the summer terrace or tennis courts, since those could get annoying. It was clean and fairly cheap. Breakfast was decent, although they didn’t prepare eggs, you could boil raw ones yourself.
