Comfortable room, good breakfast, and a great location. Strongly recommended.

Breakfast is served at 8 am, with a full spread of tasty choices, including some dishes cooked to order. At check-in, you're asked to call the staff, and they arrive about two minutes later. I highly recommend Largo. The room matched what was shown on Agoda, and the location is strategic, near the river and not far from the pedestrian entrance.

The rooms were comfortable, the hotel was very nice and central, and breakfast was good. The problem was the staff, which is why I can't give it 5 stars. Our Booking reservation said check-in was available until 6 pm. We emailed to ask about arriving late and got no reply. By phone, staff said it wasn't possible and that it was our responsibility to arrive on time. When we asked about a refund, they said there wouldn't be one and mentioned several 200€/night hotels in the area. Because of that attitude, we changed all our plans and lost bus tickets and attraction bookings to arrive before 6 pm. Then, when we got there, the hotel was already closed because staff had left early, and they sent us self check-in instructions. So self check-in had been possible all along, and we could have avoided cancelling everything that day. A shame, since everything else was pretty good.

I slept really peacefully here, and the breakfast was lovely and incredibly tasty. The place is cozy and nice, with modern facilities inside the aged architecture. It's right next to the castle. The building is remodeled and 50 years old. One thing for tourists to know: they have two receptions, so you'll need a phone number to get someone to come to the hostel and hand over your room keys.
