The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. There was free parking at the property, and the city center was a 10-minute walk away.

The massage was absolutely worth it. The therapist was a real professional and lovely to talk to, too. We also really enjoyed the tasty breakfast and the complimentary coffee and tea during the day. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the reception team made us feel welcome right away, showed us around, and explained everything. The location is close to the city center, and being allowed to leave our car after checkout was really handy. We had an amazing stay at Penzion Krumlov - Massage Studio.

Breakfast was the biggest letdown. The choices were very limited, and the quality was poor. The sausage had been cooked so long it had lost its taste. It was worse than a basic continental breakfast in the US, which surprised me because breakfast in Europe has impressed me on past trips. I was disappointed enough to buy my own food the next morning. The room itself was simple but practical, with a comfortable bed, good soundproofing, and a great shower. Without a car, though, getting around is inconvenient: downtown and the train station are quite far, and there’s no bus, so you have to walk to the station.

Křížová Hora ended up being one of the highlights of my trip. The chapel and grounds are peaceful, with lovely views over town, and the hotel is fairly close by. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, with a cozy, comfortable room and windows that opened for fresh air. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good for the low price, and everything was very clean. The old town and castle were an easy 10-15 minute walk, and the bus station was also easy to reach. I liked being a little away from the old town noise without being too far out. I stayed two nights in January 2020. There was free parking out front with 14 spaces, though I didn’t have a car. Nothing fancy, but I’d recommend both the hotel and a visit to Křížová Hora.
