I’d give it a solid 7 out of 10. Check-in was automatic and easy, so arriving late was no problem. The shower and restroom were well looked after, and breakfast had fresh fruit and vegetables, pastries, yogurt, and a dependable coffee machine. It was enough to start the day, though nothing memorable. There are terraces for sitting out, but it was too cold in winter for me to use them. The place is small, a little artsy, with interesting artwork and low ceilings that made the rooms feel comfortable and inviting. It’s very central, close to the castle, and I got a good deal on booking.com, probably because it was winter and there were fewer tourists. For anyone who likes to study or write while travelling, it’s an unexpectedly good spot, with a proper writing table, great WiFi, and the city just outside for a quick break. The location is great, but the walls are very thin. The bed was the hardest we’ve ever slept on, absolutely rock hard. There also weren’t enough shelves for our things, especially in the bathroom.

The rooms are clean but quite simply decorated, and breakfast is basic, mostly supermarket items. Getting your luggage there can be a challenge: the old town has plenty of cobblestones, and there’s no elevator, so you’ll have to carry bags up to the second or third floor. Right outside is Náměstí Svornosti, and Lazebnický Bridge is a one-minute walk away, making it easy to reach the castle area or enjoy night views and sunrise. It’s a good choice if you want city views and to save money. If you’re after a medieval architectural experience, you may want to look elsewhere.

Breakfast was nicely presented and tasty, and the sights and restaurants are all within walking distance. The hotel is right in the middle of the old town. The rooms were very clean, especially the spotless bathroom, and the owner was so friendly that we felt right at home.

The rooms are ordinary, but the bathrooms are big and breakfast is included. The location is excellent. We had an early bus, so the day before we asked if breakfast could be served a little earlier. The staff member agreed and even made scrambled eggs, bringing them straight from the pan to our plates. She was so friendly, cooperative, and considerate. We’re grateful to her!
