The room was spacious, clean, and nice, and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious, and I thought it was good value for the money. The women at reception were very helpful with check-in and check-out, and also whenever we needed support with a problem.

I’ve been a regular at FORTNA for years, and after 30 years as a business traveler, I’d call it a real insider tip for anyone who wants something authentic. You can get away from busy Pardubice and enjoy some grassroots Czech charm here. The staff are courteous and helpful, the rooms each have their own character, and it’s a nice break from the usual. FORTNA Hotel & Restaurant is an easy choice for a layover. The historic marketplace is only a few steps away, and once you’re here there’s no need for a car, so you can enjoy a Czech beer or two without breaking the driving rules 😄 The setting, the stay, and the hotel restaurant are all worth enjoying 🙂

The location and interior are nice, but I was disappointed by the meal and service. My steak arrived cold, and the plate felt pretty dull, just meat, potatoes, two lettuce leaves, and sauce. For 330kc, that wasn’t much. The service didn’t feel good enough for those prices either.

Hotel Fortna has a nice feel to it, and it’s close to everything. We had a great stay and really enjoyed it!

The restaurant is very good, and the staff are always helpful and friendly. Since this hotel opened, they’ve kept the quality up: the rooms are always clean and warm in winter, and there’s a lovely outdoor terrace in summer. Keep it up.
