Excellent!

I wanted somewhere to unwind and sleep after arriving in the evening. The guesthouse is clean and nice, but it may not suit everyone. It’s right next to the cultural center, which was lively with folklore late into summer nights. Around 50 people came back at night and weren’t exactly quiet, and having a ground floor room didn’t help. Breakfast was good. There were no window screens, though, so I had to choose between letting insects in or sweating through the night.

The rooms and bathroom were clean and spacious, and breakfast was excellent. The guesthouse is nicely placed for reaching the cellars, and everything else was fine. The owner wasn’t very pleasant, though. We got the arrival instructions by phone, which was okay, but then we were told we had to be at breakfast at exactly 8:30 a.m. There was no window from 8 to 9, let alone any extra time. J.K.

It’s clean and nice, in a quiet spot by the pond and wine cellars. There’s no restaurant or kitchen for heating food or making tea, and the owner and his wife were very unwilling to help. At times they were unpleasant and offensive, too. Breakfast was a bit limited, with no fruit at all. As the owner put it, “Don’t even bring fruit here because of the flies, eat it outside...”
