The landlord acknowledged the problems but didn't lower the price. At what we paid, we could have had a heated room with a bathroom and breakfast in the Šumava Mountains. The cottage at Aninka was cold when we arrived in early December, and only warmed up around 9 pm. The boiler was turned on only after an emergency, so there wasn't hot water until midnight. There was no bed linen, so we had to make the beds ourselves, and the kitchen had no towels. Snow hadn't been cleared from the parking lot, which made the designated space impossible to use. I strongly don't recommend staying here, and we won't return. We'd rather pitch a tent.

Getting to Jáchymov and the ski areas is easy, and anyone after peace and quiet might overlook the problems. The apartment at Aninka mountain chalet was clean when we arrived and otherwise pretty standard. Water was a bit of a problem: it alternated between hot and cold, with fluctuating pressure that was hard to regulate. The TV wouldn't tune in to any channels, and Wi-Fi was usable only at night when the other guests were asleep.

The welcome was really warm, thank you. This was just what I wanted: a nice place to stay, a clean guesthouse, and a reasonable price.
