We left disappointed and frustrated without dining there. The sign said they don’t accept cards, and while it was posted, having cash-only service is inconvenient these days and can put customers off. The server’s attitude made things worse: she was rude and dismissive from the start, with a hostile tone and no attempt to help or speak politely. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome instead of valued. I rarely write negative reviews, but this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Customer service sets the tone, and this place failed before we even got to order.

The restaurant looks good, but that’s about it. They don’t speak English, payment is cash only, and the menu is only in Czech. The food was okay!

The food was okay, but I was definitely disappointed. The spinach was cold and bland, nothing was salted, and you could constantly hear the microwave beeping, so the food probably wasn’t very fresh. The server was definitely hungover.

It’s one of the very few places in Jachymov, but it’s closed Tuesday through Thursday. The smell coming from the open kitchen door gets into your clothes within minutes, even before your beer reaches the table.

The service was really nice and helpful. I had the garlic soup, which was great and clearly homemade, and the homemade pancakes were just as good. Easily five stars.
