It's a lovely stop for a ski or hike in the area. The host spoke English, the service was great, the pilsner tasty, and the homemade borůvkový knedlíky were some of the best I've had in a long time.

We were cold, the kids were tired and hungry, and there was nowhere nearby to get warm food, with the next place 3 KMS away. Still, they wouldn't let us in for lunch with our medium-size dog. We explained that the dog was hypoallergenic and trained, and that we couldn't leave it outside in -5 degrees. They refused, saying it would damage their carpet, even though lots of skiers come in wearing ski shoes and there are small children around. I was very disappointed by that attitude and don't recommend the place.

The service was pleasant, though strict, and the food was good, if not excellent. It's a nice place with an authentic feel, and has what you might need after biking uphill.
