The forest setting is lovely, within walking distance of Kamenice nad Lipnou, and the spa and massage were highlights. The mattress and bedding, though, were awful, and the shower barely worked. There were also plenty of insects in the room when we arrived. The king size bed was actually two beds pushed together. A sheet between them wasn't enough to make it comfortable. The mattresses were so soft that my back sank into a U shape. It was one of the worst I've slept on, and I could nearly feel the springs. Not what I wanted for a relaxing weekend. At the spa, the no-swimsuit rule took a little getting used to, so it's good to know in advance. The wood-heated Finnish jacuzzi is a great idea, but the water was quite dirty when we were there and could be changed more often. The saunas, hammam and chill area were good, and I liked that kids weren't allowed in. The full body massage was excellent, and the staff were friendly. Dinner on Friday was great, with five courses and different wines. Saturday's menu was still good, though it could've offered alternatives since it was really aimed at meat enthusiasts. Tea time was nice, with a good choice of teas. The first evening, we waited ten minutes in the wine and cheese cellar and nobody came. The next day, we found out the restaurant staff serve there too. Although it opens at 19h00, one staff member said they'd be there at 19h30. There was a good wine selection, but no wine by the glass. The cheese plate was good, though it came without bread.

The excellent kitchen was the biggest surprise at this wellness resort. It's a lovely place to relax, tucked away in a quiet spot that feels like the middle of nowhere.

Bathiya, the chef who lives in Sri Lanka, makes the best food I've ever eaten. Good luck to him ❤️❤️

The area is lovely, with fishing, cycling and snow activities. The place is very clean, the WiFi is good, and the meals are really tasty.
