U Královny Dagmar

The place was clean, the surroundings pleasant, and Karlštejn Castle is just a 7-minute walk away. We’ll be happy to come back. On arrival, the owner greeted us, arranged our stay, and let us park right on the premises. Our room upstairs had a large bed, wardrobes, tables, and lamps, plus its own lockable living area with a TV, refrigerator, wardrobes, table, and chairs. There was a sink, bathroom with toilet, and towels and hand towels in each room. The restaurant has lots of seating, including outdoor tables and a spacious covered garden area. It offers a broad range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, along with quality homemade food in generous portions. I especially liked the owner’s goulash and the delicious homemade dumplings. Breakfast included pastries, salami, cheeses, juices, tea, coffee, milk, pâtés, cereal, honey, and jams. The staff were kind and accommodating. They handled issues flexibly, and you could also sit down for a relaxed chat with them. The guesthouse sits just below the castle at the top of the main street. I’d recommend a visit.
