A very spacious and comfortable duplex for a holiday in the Czech countryside. The backyard is huge, and there is plenty of room on the front lawn for the children to run around. There is also an underground garage with a washing machine. Čapů, pronounced cha-pu, means stork in their language. They have put a small stork statue out front.

We found it a handy base for cycling, with room to park both bikes and cars. The owner was welcoming, and the homemade eggs were a nice touch. The house itself was pleasant too.

The owner was lovely and happy to offer advice, and there’s a shop and pub close by. The place worked really well for several families, with four rooms, two bathrooms, and a big kitchen that opens into the living room. There’s also outdoor seating and a grill.

Klec is a lovely village, and the Nadějská pond system nearby makes for nice walks. The owners were kind and ready to help. I’d recommend staying here.
