Penzion Maly Val

The staff were really helpful and did their best to accommodate us. They let us keep our bikes in the garage, and bringing our small dog was no problem. The guesthouse is on a quiet street, just a short walk from the castle and square. Our room was spacious and, most importantly, clean, with the toiletries you'd expect in a hotel bathroom. Breakfast was included and was great: besides the menu, there was a bagel and a basket of pastries with butter, honey, jams, nutella, and pâtés on each table. We could choose from two juices and a range of coffee and tea. We'd definitely stay here again next time we're in Kroměříž.

The bed was fairly comfortable, and the location near the city center is handy. There's secure parking, though you have to pay for it. The furniture is old and battered, and the carpet was stained. The room was so tight that the wardrobe was right up against the bed. On a hot day in Moravia, the lack of air conditioning and even a small fridge made things less comfortable. I wouldn't want to stay longer than one night.

The breakfast, which you can choose, was sufficient, and the service was nice. The guesthouse is near the square, with secure parking provided. The room felt cramped and was small, with old, battered furnishings and no air conditioning, fridge, or kettle. You can't buy a drink there in the afternoon once the receptionist has left. It was enough for one night.
