Pytloun Apartments Liberec

We heard neighbors playing loud music now and then, with bass coming through the walls, though nights were very quiet. It was very warm when we arrived, and there’s no climate control. Opening the windows helped, but the sleeping area upstairs was warm too. The apartment is in a local complex in a quiet neighborhood, and we stayed a couple of days to explore Liberec and the surroundings. It’s a decent option for a short stay, with a few downsides. There are steps up to the apartment, no elevator as far as I could tell, and the bed is up another small staircase. You have to collect the key from a hotel a couple of minutes away by car, though much farther on foot or by public transport. There’s a free welcome drink in the lobby. About parking, we found that someone had let the air out of half our tires and stolen the protective caps. Luckily I had a mobile air compressor and the tires weren’t damaged. Maybe it was because of our foreign plates and locals not liking their parking spot blocked. On the last day we had to park at the hotel 20 minutes away, which was really frustrating. It left a bitter memory and took a couple of hours to sort out.

I walked in and couldn’t believe how spacious the apartment was. It really felt like a home away from home.

There was a lot of noise and music from the neighbors and the street. The apartment itself was okay, with everything working as it should and enough room for two. Cooking isn’t a good idea, since there were no cutting boards and the sharp knives were lacking. Parking was pretty bad. Someone let the air out of our tires, so if you have foreign number plates, I wouldn’t recommend coming by car. After it happened, Pytloun let us park at the hotel, but offered no other help resolving the problem. The hotel is a 20-minute walk from the apartment, which wasn’t convenient. I probably wouldn’t book here again, though Liberec is still a very pretty city with lots to offer.

A terrible experience. There’s no elevator for the 5 floors, and check-in and check-out are at a different location.
