Wellness Hotel Babylon

The city center is only about a 10-minute walk away, and the restaurants are good. The rooms are spacious, clean, and renovated, with some available as connecting rooms. There are lots of attractions included with the stay, which makes this a great choice for families. Highly recommended.

Luna Park 3/5, the equipment is starting to show its age. Fun Park was really great, 5/5. Aqua Park and IQ Park were both very nice, 4/5 each, though a few things were broken in both. Bowling was great too, 4/5, but costs extra. The bowling aid also makes it fun for small children. The room was clean and the bed comfortable, but it only gets 3/5. The bathroom heating didn’t work, there were few places to hang wet laundry, and there was no stool for the kids. A crib also cost extra. Food was 1/5, pretty frustrating and uncomfortable. You have to take the covers off the Chevys yourself, and with so many people making a mess, you can burn yourself. The food felt unhealthy, with no tasty vegan alternatives. Staff and service get 1/5 too. People were often uninformed, unfriendly, and irritated.

There are often attractions out of order, and important information is missing in many places. Check-in takes far too long, and staff have a hard time communicating in English, adding to the hassle. The hotel is noisy and overcrowded, with prices way too high for what you get. A big disappointment, and not worth the money.

The wellness area was okay, but treatment availability was very limited and getting an appointment was nearly impossible. I had a manicure, then developed inflammation two days later that I still hadn’t managed to clear up after two weeks. The price felt unbelievable, especially since the equipment was quite old and the files badly worn. She finished by rubbing Nivea body lotion on my hands. Maybe I’m being fussy, but in a place like this I expected better quality cosmetics, especially since they sell them too. There’s noise everywhere, and after two or three days it leaves you exhausted and makes it hard to enjoy the attractions. It’s a nice place for a short stay, maybe two or three days at most, but definitely too expensive for its standard. I wouldn’t recommend it for a longer holiday. The hotel itself is in good condition, though it doesn’t feel like a four-star place. The rooms are quite large, but the bathrooms are very old, only superficially cleaned, and have peeling grout. There’s an unpleasant smell in the rooms, and you can’t air them out because the windows are shut. If you get staff to open one, it faces a closed patio and other rooms, and there’s a canteen where food smells linger all day. Finding your way around is difficult because everything is poorly marked. We spent almost an hour on the first day trying to find the water park, and it’s easy to get lost in the maze, unless that’s meant to be part of the fun. The Aquapark entrance itself seems like a mistake. It might be fine in summer, but in winter it’s terribly cold. You have a long trip from your room through corridors and elevators, which is unpleasant when you’re already changed, even with a bathrobe on. There’s no kettle in the room either, so you can’t make a hot drink there. The buffet food wasn’t impressive and everything felt very heavy. The children would only eat rice and fish, but it’s hard to persuade them to have fish every day for a whole week, even though they like it.
