Penzion Zuzana

The owner goes out of her way to make guests happy, and there’s lots of outdoor seating and plenty of parking. We had a great holiday with friends, with good cycling and trips around the area, and the train station is nearby. I’d also say the owner’s dog is hard to catch, let alone bite, despite what I read here.

A lovely, cozy guesthouse. It gave me the impression that it suits a group of people more than a family, because the room setup is a bit unusual: one room has a fridge, another a TV, and a third a kitchen, with a shared bathroom. Still, the owner is great and I’m sure you can work things out with her so everyone’s happy. Great for me 👍

There’s plenty to do in Třeboň, and Penzion Zuzana is well placed for walks and trips nearby. The surroundings are pleasant, and the owner is very nice, though we didn’t feel much sincerity or authenticity from her. For our group of 7 adults and 14 children, the rooms felt small and awkwardly laid out. There was no shared room, and because the owners stay in the same building, we didn’t have full privacy. If you come with friends and children to have fun, your noise can disturb them. The furnishings felt dated, and some appliances, especially the stoves, seemed potentially dangerous. Even the potato peelers were blunt. We couldn’t find the heated pool listed on the website, and when the weather got colder, the lack of heating in every room was very noticeable. When it rained, there was nowhere to dry the children’s clothes. Having to leave by 10 am with no flexibility was quite strict for a group this size with children. Given the standard of the accommodation and facilities, the price felt exorbitant. The guesthouse has potential, but it isn’t being fully used, and the price doesn’t match what you get.

The guesthouse is in a perfect spot and the surroundings are beautiful and clean. There’s everything you need for relaxing or keeping both children and adults busy 👍👍
