The hotel is well located, near the mineral springs, and in general it’s good. But our stay and impression were ruined by one receptionist, Anastasia. My wife and I stayed in May 2025, and whenever we had a question, she barely paid attention, busy with her own things. She was rude and reluctant to speak with us. When we asked about the city, the look she gave us made us not want to ask anything else. I can’t understand how someone so unpleasant and uncommunicative can work at the reception of a hotel like this. I’ll never come back while she’s there.

The food was delicious and carefully prepared, and even little things like having hot water available all the time added to the comfortable feeling. The Ayurveda team, including the doctors and therapist, took great care of me and adapted everything to my needs. The detailed consultation with the Ayurvedic doctor was a highlight, with a chance to learn about your Dosha type and get useful recommendations. After looking all over Europe for the right Ayurveda retreat, I was thrilled to find this hidden gem. I joined Reitenberger Hotel’s Ayurvedic Restart Program, which included four nights’ accommodation, full-board Ayurvedic meals with selected non-alcoholic Ayurvedic drinks, an initial consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor, and eight individually selected treatments such as Abhyanga, Shirodhara and Nasya, plus meditation and yoga sessions. The hotel’s wellness area, including the pool and saunas, and the gym were also available to me. I left feeling refreshed and rebalanced. I can recommend the Ayurveda Program to anyone looking for Ayurveda treatment in Europe.

I didn’t stay at the hotel, but I tried the “salzgrotte” for 45 minutes. It was very relaxing, and the staff were friendly.

The massage was the only quality activity the hotel offered, but beware, you can only communicate in English ☺️. Our room was nice, though the bed was so hard it felt no different from a bench. It’s relatively central, but you can’t really see the colonnade by the park. There were so many pensioners that even I started to think it was really bad, and it was a big minus that the staff didn’t seem to realize we weren’t 60 and didn’t need to be shouted at. The food was disastrous. At a hotel costing 11,000, I expected more than sharing tables with strangers and getting tasteless food that seemed like the cheapest on the Czech market. The stay began and ended with us standing there, mouths open, unable to believe what was happening around us. The experience was so intense that we left halfway through. Never again!

The hotel is old, but it’s managed to keep its character and energy. It’s still super clean and tidy, and the staff are helpful. Solid.
