Our weekend was completely ruined. We were told our late check-in at 1 a.m. was confirmed, but the door malfunctioned and left us stuck outside. We only got in at 5 a.m. with help from another guest. The reception number on the door never answered. The staff were rude, called us liars and crazy, and said we had brain problems and didn't use our brains. When we tried to explain things logically, we got insults. At one point they switched to Czech and said that in the Czech Republic you have to speak Czech. Their description says they speak English and Czech, and in tourism I think English is reasonably expected from both sides. The security cameras could easily show what happened. When we asked to speak directly with the boss, they stopped responding and never got back to us. The heaters didn't work, and the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out. We were refused a refund because, although we got in at 5 and lost a night's sleep, we eventually entered the room and used the service. The malfunction and the night we effectively lost weren't taken into account, financially or even through an attempt at dialogue that might have helped us understand each other. The woman acting as an intermediary smelled strongly of alcohol, kept saying she couldn't help, and wouldn't let us contact the boss. I hope nobody else has this experience, and that ours is one of those exceptions that proves the rule. Absolutely not recommended.

The rooms have been freshly refurbished and are great, clean, and well equipped.

Good service at a low price, and it's close to Olomouc main train station.
