There’s free parking, and a Lidl just around the corner. The apartments are spacious, in an old renovated building, with a tram nearby for getting into the city or to the festivals. The lady who runs the place is nice, happy to give advice, and good for a chat.

Be really careful with this accommodation. I booked a room through booking.com in October so my son could sleep there after the November concert. About 10 days later, the lady began pushing me to cancel, saying there was no room. I objected that there was a room and that I wouldn’t disturb anything. She then even arranged for my son to pick up the keys a few days before the concert, but the next day she started calling again. When I didn’t respond, she cancelled my paid stay herself, supposedly because of heating and faulty electricity. We’d already paid for the train, but went by car instead. When we stood outside the guesthouse, the windows were lit and the electricity was working 🤔.

The owner didn’t pay the full amount we’d agreed on beforehand for the repair during the renovation. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.

There was heat, hot water, and clean bedding, and the lady and manager tried to be nice. But the overall impression was social housing. I’d never stay again!!!! The room wasn’t ready, despite booking months ahead, and it seemed they weren’t expecting us, though that might have been a mistake. The hallway smelled of garlic and cigarettes, with the garlic coming from a floor above. I like garlic, but my suitcase was picking up the smell. A caretaker in dirty overalls put on our sheets, then asked whether we’d put on our own sheets and turn on the fridge, which surprised us. At first the room had no light, the TV didn’t work, and it was freezing. They changed the bulb and switched on the heating. I hadn’t seen a gas heater with a flame in a long time. The walls were shabby, mirrors dirty, the shower door half open, and the beds stretched out, though the back board was great. Toiletries meant soap, but there was plenty of it. No hairdryer or iron, and a dirty bowl sat on the table. The lights were wired oddly: the hallway light turned on the apartment light, the bathroom switch turned on the kitchen, and the same thing happened with the toilet. The old door was disgusting, shabby, and smelly, with even a hole in the toilet door. If you like action movies, I highly recommend it.
